This '34 is a gorgeous example with all of the classic lines and features of an original without the $70k price. This isn't the typical kit with a mis-matching of parts. This is a Street Beast kit with a fiberglass body on a modern chassis. These were a production based kit that were manufactured for several years and make for a nice driving car.
This one looks nice with a Carbon Gray two-stage paint on a clean body. The body lines are nice with good alignment. The paint is older but presents very well. There are some minor scratches that have been brush touched but again, this one looks nice. The paint shines well that the paint has a deep luster. This one is easily nice enough for the weekend show and shines but isn't too nice for the long drives it was designed and built for.
The interior looks nice with quality gauges, comfortable seats, tilt steering column and a modern stereo system. The console houses the custom shifter, switches and a large screen for the much appreciated back-up camera.
The electrical is in order with working wipers (arms are in the trunk for a cleaner look), heater, blinkers, brake lights, horn, electric exhaust cut-outs, stereo, gauges, etc. This one just works well.
The chassis is a modern style with Mustang II style front suspension with Rack & Pinion Steering and Disc Brakes. The rear suspension is a Mustang Fox Body 4-Bar set up. The rear differential is a receipt documented 8.8" Ford with a rebuilt 3.73 Limited Slip set up. These gears work excellent for freeway cruising comfortable at 60+ mph.T
Under the hood lives a small block from Blue Print Engines. This one displaces 355 Cubic Inches and makes a Dyno Proven 417 Horsepower. Blue Print Engines is an ISO Certified builder with an excellent program. The engine fires up incredibly easy and has a nice, mild lope to the idle. The exhaust has a deep rumble to the idle and the 'Goldilocks' exhaust note at a cruise, just loud enough to get their attention but not so much that it tires you out on the road. To put the performance of this car in perspective, it has 417 Horsepower and an estimated weight of 2500 lbs. for a power to weight ratio of 6lbs/hp. A new Corvette has 460 Horsepower and weighs 3520lbs for a power to weight ratio of 7.7lbs/hp. So if you want to have some fun, this car shouldn't disappoint.
The transmission is a 700R4 4-Speed Overdrive Automatic. It goes into gear quickly and shifts nicely. It is set up to be an easy driver. The auto kick down could be tightened up for quicker downshifts and to hold the gear longer but you would want to be careful with this much power set up on a trip-wire kick down.
The wheels are Brand New American Racing Salt Flats with 17x7 in front and 20x8's in the rear. The tires are 205 45's in the front and 255 45's in the rear.
With a huge file of receipts to document the work this one is an investment in your fun and enjoyment THIS SUMMER. Why buy a project car and spend the next 2 years exercising the limits of your AAA membership and your marriage while you get the bugs out?
