This ’67 has been painstakingly transformed into a gorgeous re-creation of the original GT350. Many aspects of the original were copied and it takes a trained eye to tell the difference between this car and the real thing. From the correct style nose cone to the fiberglass trunk extensions this car presents very well.

Many aspects such as the ultra rare steering wheel (which is believed to be an original) to the inertia reel styled seat harnesses were added to this car. Both of these items are very expensive and add to the integrity of the car.

The body really looks nice. It is an older build that has seen some street use. I would still rate it as a 7 out of ten, but I consider myself picky. Flaws are few and far between but are present. The panels are in good condition, quite straight and the paint shines very well.

The fiberglass panels do have the typical Shelby alignment issues that caused Ford to move production in-house for the 68 model year. These imperfections add to the original character of the car. Panel wise, the car is very solid. The only repair I have seen is a floor pan on the passenger rear side that was professionally replaced. Otherwise, this appears to be an original panel car with the exception of the aftermarket Shelby style components (obviously).

Inside the Black Deluxe Interior is in excellent condition. This is perhaps the best looking interiors of the era. With the brushed aluminum panels, deluxe woven seats and a classy roll bar complete with harnesses it is hard to imagine a better set up. The steering column is the factory Tilt-Tilt-Away that functions properly. The steering wheel is believed to be an original, these can fetch in excess of $4000 by themselves. The roll bar is a nice reproduction that has been fitted with the inertia reel style harnesses. The Shelby style under dash gauges are in place and the speedometer and tachometer have been changed out to accurate late model units.

Under the hood the 302 has been nicely pumped up to back up the pedigree the car has. The factory 289’s were really not that impressive as the car’s appearance would have you believe. This 302 has Dart Cylinder Heads, Comp Solid Lifter Camshaft, Aluminum Intake Manifold, Long Tube Ceramic Headers and a badass attitude.

Fire it up and there is no question this is not a lame stock engine. The car rocks to the big cam lope and the engine revs like a trip hammer. Grabbing gears the engine makes quick work of the rear BF Goodrich Tires in a blaze of tire smoke. The 3.55 True-Trac rear keeps both tires spinning and the car is a blast to drive. The 4-Speed transmission never misses a beat even with the factory Reverse Lock-Out Shifter. This car feels solid & confident. Each time out you will come back grinning.
