This '68 Mustang is a great looking, nicely equipped and well sorted Pony Car. Classic lines and an impressive option list make this a very fun and rewarding car to own.

 

Hailing from dry climate of Montana this one has survived with its original panels in tact. The Candy Apple Red paint is in great condition with a nice shine on very solid panels. The body alignment is nice as well giving no indications of prior accidents or panel repair. Chrome & bright look great as well.

 

Inside the interior presents well. This restoration is a few years old and shows some lite wear. Overall the upholstery fits nicely and is quite comfortable.

 

Under the hood the original J-Code 302 4 barrel has been replaced by a 390 Cubic Inch Big Block topped with the Edelbrock Performer RPM Package including Aluminum Cylinder Heads, Intake Manifold, Hydraulic Camshaft and Carburetor making the big block weight pretty comparably to the original 302. Edelbrock states that their power package makes 418 Horsepower and 434 ft-lb of Torque. The exhaust is handled via a set of 428 Cobra Jet exhaust manifolds breathing through Flowmaster equipped pipes. As you would expect the much improved power moves this Mustang effortlessly and it sounds incredible.

 

The factory 4 speed was switched out for a Tremec 5 speed Overdrive complete with heavy duty bellhousing. The Tremec is a heavy duty transmission that will easily handle the power of this big block. Shifting is easy and deliberate making this one a joy to drive.

 

The power steering and suspension feel excellent with a nice crisp steering response thanks to a host of new components during the restoration. The front swaybar was upgraded and a rear sway bar was added helping out performance in the corners.

This car is truly rewarding to drive in town or in the corners and with the overdrive it is equally comfortable on the highway.
