The AMX has long been a curiosity in the Muscle Car world. They actually performed quite well in the day. The combination of a small car and big cubic inches provided for some impressive performance. Not only could they accelerate but they could handle nicely as well. They were perhaps one of the best all around performers of their day.

This '69 was reportedly restored in 2007 and has seen limited use since. The paint still looks good with a nice, deep shine. The bumpers were re-chromed during the restoration and still look great. Panel fitment is overall nice. The paint could benefit from a light wet-sand and polish to really bring out the shine. There are some very small rock chips on the rear of the car from being transported on an open carrier.

The interior is in great shape and shows very little wear since the restoration. The seat upholstery, carpet, door panels and headliner are all still in good condition. The factory gauges work nicely including the factory tachometer.

Under the hood the 390 runs excellent. According to the previous owner and paperwork from his purchase the engine was rebuilt and has ported & polished cylinder heads, new valves & springs, AMC Performance hydraulic cam and a balanced rotating assembly. It sounds nice with just a hint of a lope to the idle.

With the 'Go Pack' you got the 4 barrel option, dual exhaust, disc brakes, cooling upgrades and 'Over the Top' Skunk Stripes. These all made the car look and perform better. Not to mention the option just sounded cool!
