It can be tough to find a good solid Classic Muscle Car to consider for your restoration project, and even tougher to find one with it's original engine the RUNS and DRIVES!!! From the factory this came with Rallye Green paint with a Black Vinyl Top and Black Interior (Quite a desirable color combination) and appears to still be wearing it's original paint.
Somebody has started on the body work, but realistically they did not get too far. You can see the condition of the original sheet metal although plenty of minor bumps and bruises can be seen and some patch work will be needed around the rear quarter panels. The Grille and Header Panel are brand new and installed saving you some time and money in the long run.
The Interior is rather complete and in decent shape for the age. The Driver seat and passenger headrest need reupholstered, New drivers door card and a headliner and boom, you have a presentable interior for a driver, or a complete interior kit is rather inexpensive and the best part is since the interior is complete, you know everything was there to begin with making reassembly much easier. The Windshield is cracked but the rest of the glass is intact and operational. This Camaro was a column shift automatic, but a floor shift Mr. Gasket shifter has been added for that ultimate Muscle Car look.
The Engine is a Matching Numbers 327ci V8 that does run and drive although we consider this to be a parking lot driver. This Camaro came to us after sitting idle since at least 1992, we changed the fluids, oiled the cylinders, and this old gal fired right back up to life and runs surprisingly well. Everything appears to be original with the exception of some long tube headers and TH400 trans. We have driven this around the parking lot and everything seems to work fine, however we recommend a full inspection of all the systems before much street driving is seen.
The Chassis is in rather good shape for it's age, And rust is very minimal. Floors and trunk pan are in good shape (minor rust spot on trunk pan) and frame is solid. This Camaro even still has it's original style transverse muffler!
