This ’70 Challenger has an impressive pedigree being a true R/T Big Block 4-Speed car. It has been tastefully modified and is the embodiment of ‘70’s Muscle’ with just a flare of ‘Modern’ from the custom wheel package.
The body and paint are in great spot where it looks nice and gets tons of compliments but isn’t too nice to drive. The car was re-shot many years ago in ‘P6’ Frosted Teal Iridescent. The previous owner of 18+ years kept it garaged in the sunny & dry region of Eastern Washington. There are some of the typical bubbles on the lower rear quarters but overall the car is solid. This is a great ‘No-Guilt-Driver’, weekends at the burger joint, occasional drag strip contestant Muscle Car. If you want a true show car, treat it to a fresh repaint.

Inside the interior is quite nice. This is a factory ‘High Trim’ interior and it really looks and feels nice. The upholstery is in great condition and is very comfortable. Nice appointments like the floor console and woodgrain trimmed Rally Gauges make it all the more enjoyable. An upgraded stereo system has an amplifier and dual subwoofers that replace the giant factory equipped 2 Watt sound machine.

Under the hood, the original 383 was replaced many years ago with a brutish 440 6-Pack complete with a HUGE camshaft. The engine sounds tremendous with Massive Headers, 3” exhaust and Performance Mufflers. The engine revs crisp and smooth while gaining RPM like a trip-hammer. The Horsepower is estimated at over 500, this isn’t a mild motor. The engine sounds angry at an idle but quickly gets into its happy place about 2800 rpm where it destroys the 285 Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car tires. At that point you pretty much laugh maniacally as you shove & jerk that Pistol Grip Shifter on the 4 Speed Transmission as quick as you can. No fear in hurting the differential as it has been upgraded to a Dana 60 unit, the same used in ¾ ton pickups. It has a locking differential so both tires suffer the full wrath of the 440.

This car drives quite nicely with a tight steering box and a precise feel thanks to the 245 45 17” front tires. They really quicken up the steering and give confidence in the corners. The Power Front Disc Brakes also add to the driving experience, especially stopping from triple digit speeds comfortably.

The tire & wheel package give the car a more modern look while also putting some serious rubber under the rear for more traction and an aggressive stance.

Putting this whole package together, you have a well pedigreed Muscle Car that is one of the best looking cars of the era and performance enhancements that will keep you hanging with the fastest cars of today.
