It is no secret that Panteras are starting to skyrocket in price. The CPI guide prices have increased $12k (from $38k to $50k) in the last year alone for a clean driver. Take a look at your stocks and see just how well they did.

 

This Pantera has been stored for most of its life. It was plucked from the road in 1984 and repainted in Fly Yellow. The work was photo documented and an album of the work comes with the car. It shows the car in its original Bright Red paint and follows through paint stripping, priming all the way to the finished product in show car status. Thankfully it has been stored indoors out or the rain & weather. The car has been preserved and spared the normal Pantera rust and corrosion.

 

When it was repainted the door handles were ‘shaved’. Luckily the bodyman was conscious of the fact that someday someone would want to change it back. The block-off panels were only tack welded in place and the seam filled. The factory door handles are included with the car. The door ‘poppers’ work well thanks to a brand new module and key remotes.

 

Inside the interior was custom upholstered and has very low use. The combination looks great and the seats are very comfortable. The factory gauges work nicely with crisp clean numeric’s and shiny chrome bezels. The factory rocker switches work nicely, windows operate properly, heater actuates and the headlights function as new.  

 

This Pantera is a rarity with its original numbers matching 351 Cleveland 4V. The engine still runs excellent with great power. Many Panteras received the wrong engine at the factory so a true ‘Numbers Matching’ car is rare. It is just starting to become a big deal in value and will certainly become a larger issue later.

 

The ZF 5-Speed works beautifully. Both up-shifts & down-shifts are crisp & clean. Clutch actuation is fluid & predictable. This car just loves to be driven.

 

If you have never experienced the sound of a 351 Cleveland breathing down your neck as you row through the gears, you really need to. It is a feeling unlike any other!
