This Bronco was just the focus of a full Frame-Off Restoration. Done in Raven Black, this is a stunning example. The body was completely disassembled, stripped and repainted in a base/clear Raven Black then wetsanded & polished to a mirror finish. New Impact Bumpers from Tom's Broncos were powder coated.
The interior tub was completely bedlined then Tom's seating installed. The front seats recline and have plenty of room for even the tallest of drivers. The rear seat folds flat & tumbles forward giving you plenty of room for those Costco shopping trips. New seat belts were installed after the pictures were taken. The roll bar has been powder coated for good looks & durability. We recommend that it be covered with padding to protect passengers though. This interior is quite durable and super easy to clean out when it does get dirty. Simply blow it out with an air nozzle or your garden hose.
Under the hood lives a fuel injected 351 Windsor with Holley Sniper Fuel Injection. The 351 produces a tremendous amount of low end torque that powers this Bronco effortlessly. The 4 speed transmission has a compound low 1st gear making hill starts easy and any off road crawling a breeze.
A 3 1/2" suspension lift & 35" tires puts it right there in the Goldilocks zone of not too big & not too small. This one is under 7' tall and its only 14' long so it fits easily in most garages. The extended length radius arms allow for more axle travel and also corrects the caster problems created by raising the suspension. This one is an easy drive both on and off road. At highway speeds it is a one hand affair.
The brakes were upgraded with a brand new 4 Wheel Power Disc Brake kit from Toms. New hard lines and braided stainless hoses were used. Braking is exceptionally easy with easy pedal effort and consistent stopping power.
The tires are Toyo AT II's in 35" x 12.50 x 18. We find they are the best driving tires for a Bronco. Off road they do quite well and on the road they are quiet. They also have a very long life with over a 50k mile wear rating.
The factory wiring was replaced with a new Centech conversion. This set up has modern fuses and allows for easier and safer upgrades.
The dual tank system has been replaced by a single 23 gallon EFI tank from Tom's as well. No need to play with switches & levers of a 2 tank debacle. The dual tank caps were left in place for the classic look and the auxiliary tank fill has a block off.
