This 1972 Ford Torino is a rare & hard to find 351 Cobra Jet V8 Engine paired to a 4-speed Manual Transmission. This Torino Came to us from a 1 family ownership (2 owner, Father and Son) and is in great condition. Marti Report Verifies that this is an Original 351CJ/4-speed car, but wait, it gets better... This is a 1 of 1 car and it is verified to be the original engine!
The Exterior is in great shape. Still wearing its Wimbledon White Paint and Correct Blue vinyl roof, with no signs of prior damage, You can't find a better candidate to invest in a classic such as this for this price. Very minor bubbling was seen to the typical areas of the lower doors and just behind the left rear tire which we have professionally repaired. All Door Gaps and hood/trunk spacing look great.
The Interior shows to be fairly original condition and is in good shape. The Front driver seat has a tear on the bolster and both front footwell carpet pads are worn, however the rest of the interior is nice. Some signs of general wear can be seen, but the dashpad, center console, other seats, etc are all clean. We recently replaced the torn shift boot so no more wind noise or heat enters the cabin while your driving.
The Engine is the Original Numbers Matching (Picture Verification seen above) 351 Cobra Jet and runs great. We checked, and the original Dual Point Distributor is still in place. The Engine did receive a rebuild with flat-top pistons, Aftermarket Cam, Intake Manifold and Carburetor, however no documentation or receipts were provided for the build. We did just replace the exhaust manifold gaskets. Currently the engine runs and drives great and is now quiet as it should be. The 4-speed Manual Transmission shifts great through all the gears and this car drives straight and smooth down the road. The Original A/C components all appear to be in place, however the A/C will need attention, currently the A/C belt has been removed for unknown reasons.
The Chassis is in great shape. The Floors and Trunk pan are rock solid, and same for the frame rails. The Power Steering Gearbox was recently replaced and steering feels nice and tight. The factory 14" rims are in place with all hubcaps and trim rings are present and in good shape. This car is a solid vehicle that is ready to be driven!
