WoW!!! 64 1/2 Coupes are a rare find, especially with desirable options. This one was produced on May 28th of 1964 and is decked out in a coat of its originally coded Poppy Red. It is also a D-Code 289 4 Barrel, a rare option. This is a really good looking example that fits perfectly into the driver category. 

This is a great looking first-gen Mustang. The paint shines quite nicely and the panels line up well. This is an Eastern Washington Mustang so it is quite solid for the breed. The paint is older but presents quite well, call this one a 10 footer. The chrome & bright trim all look great and shine brilliantly against the Poppy Red. The floors still wear much of their original red oxide with some Poppy Red & Black overspray. The drivers front floor pan was replaced while the rest are the originals and appear to be in great shape.

The interior presents well and has had some updates over the years. The seat upholstery on the buckets was replaced at some point and shows minimal wear. The back seat is still the original and is showing some wear at the center seams. The instrument cluster looks good and still has the 'Generator' light, a 64 1/2 only feature. This car also has the optional front seat belts. The headliner appears to still be in good conition as well. Overall, the interior looks nice and is quite comfortable.

Under the hood the 289 4 Barrel runs excellent and has been nicely detailed in the correct black & gold. If fires up nicely and sounds great with the added GT style dual exhaust. The C4 automatic goes into gear quickly and shifts properly. The combo power the car well down the road work as they should.

The Styled Steel Wheels and Cooper Cobra 215 65 15 tires were just added and look amazing on this car. The wheels are brand new15x7 reproduction units with new center caps & lug nuts. The tires likewise are new with full warranties from Les Schwab tires or participating Cooper Cobra dealers.
