Looking to build a Pro Touring 67 and want a big head start? Want to save some cash & year or two of aggravation & hair loss? Here is your opportunity. We all know 67 Fastbacks are harder to find than an honest politician. The ones you do find are just like politicians as they are pretty much all rotted out and couldn't go straight on their best day. Luckily this one is the rare exception to the norm.
There isn't a bit of rust we could find and the panels have all been professionally massaged & customized. If you have any experience in the world of old cars & body work you know how much this work costs and how long it takes. There is still finishing work to do as this one is at about the 5 yard line body work wise. The previous owner was an expert bodyman and built the side scoops and scalloped metal side vents out of metal. He even built an integrated rear spoiler into the trunk lid. It is electronically operated so you could operate in based on speed or braking like the Ford GT. The build has Ring Brothers cues but could go a lot of different ways depending on your preferences. There are a couple pics above of a great example from a few years back for some inspiration.
The body was stripped and the undercarriage was painted in a tinted bedliner as well as the cockpit floor. This should keep the metal in good condition while helping keep out sound & heat. The front seats are Scat Pro Cars. The rear seat is just an original FoMoCo unit and would need new upholstery.
Under the hood lives a rebuilt 390. This is a 0 mile engine with 1967 GT Heads with hardened valve seats, Sealed Power Hypereutectic .060 pistons, Edelbrock Aluminum Intake and Ceramic Tri-Y headers. It is backed up by a Toploader 4 speed, a new clutch was installed with the transmission.
The suspension system has been seriously updated with a coil-over conversion on the front end. The rear suspension has been fitted with a custom made air ride set up with a panhard rod. If you are looking for some infinite height adjustment this is it!
The braking system has been upgraded to a 4-wheel disc system. The rotors are cross-drilled & slotted. Best of all they are easily seen through the spoked custom wheels.
The previous owner had planned on a Candy Brandy Wine color paint and had the undercarriage coatings made to match. The car comes with 2 gallons of material which is no small investment.
