This is one of the most highly optioned '66 Convertibles we have seen without the GT option. This one has a colorful history of having lived in France while the owner was stationed there while in the military. 

Obviously this one has some character and plenty of wear on what appears to be a single repaint. The panels still line up well and the car gives off a bit of that 'survivor' vibe. The only visible rust of note is on the driver's door. There are several repairs including lower quarter panels, trunk drop offs and floor pans. The repairs are sound and look structurally sound but were not done to a restoration spec. 

The convertible top was just professionally replaced and looks excellent. The hydraulic system works nicely as well.

Inside the Pony interior is still in quite nice condition for the age. There is the obvious wear, but with the exception of the driver's side carpet is quite useable.

Under the hood the 289 runs quite well. It is pretty much stock and original with the exception of the Holley carburetor. A quick twist of the key and it fires up nicely. No valvetrain noises or smoke on startup. Power is impressive and the transmission shifts well.

The car was optioned with an 8" Limited Slip differential which is quite rare but an excellent compliment for the 4-Speed and the 225 horsepower 289. 

The tires & wheels are brand new units. The wheels are 15x7 reproductions of the original wheels. The tires are Cooper Cobras in 215 65 15. They fit perfectly and don't rub.
