This one comes with a very well documented title history dating back to the original GM Manufacturer's Statement of Origin.
The Victory Red paint shows extremely well with a nice deep gloss on very straight panels. Panel fitment is excellent. Trim work is equally nice with a high quality finish.
Inside the factory optioned bucket seat interior has been restored and looks great. The seats are comfortable with great support and tight fitting upholstery. The console has been treated to a new shift lens and a good polishing. The dash pad fits nicely and houses a rare factory gauge package with 5500 rpm tachometer. Fit & finish inside is easily nice enough for a sunny day cruiser or weekend show n shine.
Under that 'Double Bulge' hood lives an excellent running 396 with some tasty upgrades. The block is reported to be a '66 unit stuffed with a steel crank, 11 to 1 forged pistons, high volume oil pump, Crane cam with 600 lift and 302 duration, oval port heads with larger valves & hardened seats, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, long tube headers and nice dual exhaust. The engine really does run well and sounds great with a very noticeable lope to the idle.
The transmission is a TH400 with a shift kit. Shifts are firm but not abusive. Receipt documentation is included of work performed.
The rear diff is a 12-bolt unit with 3.55 gears and a Posi-Traction carrier.
Factory Power Steering and Power Front Disc Brakes make this a very enjoyable car to drive.
