Torino's have always had a bit of a cult following, especially the 'Fastback' versions. They were quite prone to rust issues in some hard to repair areas such as cowls and rear quarter panels that haven't been properly reproduced for good repairs. This has made finding quality bodies quite hard. Examples like this one are few & far between.

Obviously this car would make a great 'before pic'. The paint is flat, shadows of missing dealer bump strip and a less than beautiful interior complete with house carpet aren't helping out much. However, look closer and see this car is quite straight and very rust free. If you are looking for a builder you would be hard pressed to find a better body.

Under the hood the 302 was reportedly rebuilt and driven very little when a simple & undiagnosed mechanical problem relegated this one to a garage where it spent years. The engine still has the warranty heat tabs in place. It fires up easily and sounds great. It really could use some nice, long freeway cruises to limber up.

The C4 transmission goes into gear quickly and works properly. The factory shifter on the column could use some bushings as the gate alignment isn't the best.

The interior...probably best left to the pictures to explain the indignity of that. Good thing is that several companies offer complete interior kits for these allowing you to pretty much throw everything you see out besides the seat frames.

The wheels are 14" Magnum 500s with Cooper Cobra tires.

The air conditioning appears complete but will need some attention and a recharge before you are enjoying its frosty breeze again.
