Rare Grabber Green Metallic Car
Extensive Document History
This Fastback runs and drives nicely. We have a pretty comprehensive receipt file for work done all the way back to the early 1980's when it lived in sunny California. From the docs it would appear that this was someone's baby that underwent an engine rebuild, transmission rebuild, repaint, new interior and more. Mileage would indicate the car has around 30k miles since the early 80's when the receipt documents started. Some time in the 90's the car was relegated to more of a driver then stored.
This car is a very late production '70 with a Super Rare Grabber Green Metallic paint option! There isn't a paint code in the Marti, just a note about a special paint color. Paint on the rockers, door jams & trunk interior show the factory color. This is an extremely rare color as it was a 1971 color, not a 1970 offering.
From 30 feet the car looks decent. Overall the car lines up decent and the trim appears good. The paint has seen better days with numerous imperfections such as chips, bubbles, cracks and peeling. There is some rust in the normal places. The floors have had replacement panels on the front pans, rears are original and the frame rails and torque boxes look good.
Inside, the interior is still quite presentable. The carpet was just replaced as well as the package tray. The receipt documented upholstery is still in good condition which is a testament since it is nearly 40 years old.
Under the hood, the 302 runs quite well. Receipt docs show the engine has .020 Forged Pistons and a Crane 'Hydraulic Gripper' camshaft designed for 'daily usage, performance and fuel efficiency'. The usual aluminum intake, electronic ignition, headers and dual exhaust are all there in the receipts as well. It has surprisingly good power and sounds healthy too.
The transmission has receipt documented rebuild and has approximately 30k on the clock. The clutch had an issue from storage so a new clutch was just installed and the flywheel re-surfaced.
The brake system was just treated to new brake hoses, wheel cylinders and a new master cylinder just to be safe.
The tire & wheel combo consists of 17" American Racing wheels with 225's on the front and 255 50's on the rear. They fit nicely and look great.
