1970 Cuda
Sold!!!
Real Deal BS23N Coded Cuda
Fender Tag Proven Car
Rebuilt 375HP 440
727 Automatic
We see a lot of Muscle Cars here...hence our name. There are some frequent varieties like Mustang fastbacks, Camaros and even some Chargers. There are some varieties that remain elusive and just plain hard to get. A real deal non-project Cuda is just such a beast. This is a fender tag & VIN verified Cuda.
The paint shines beautifully even thought the paint is reportedly over 20 years old. At first glance it appears black, but get this one in the light and you can see it is a dark green metallic. The panel alignment is nice, this is a beautiful specimen. The body is truly rare example and appears to be wearing all of its original sheet metal. No signs of panel repair or replacement either. There are a couple minor bubbles down behind the passenger rear tire visible on close inspection.
Inside the interior is quite nice. The door panels that are so often sun faded & deteriorated look great. Seat upholstery is clean and even the dash is in good condition. There carpet shows some wear but this interior could easily be used as is. The radio was removed at some point but we find the engine provides mechanical music sweeter than any known radio station.
Originally born as a 383 it was upgraded to a 1970 440 complete with HP exhaust manifolds. A stock 70 440 Magnum was rated at 375 Horsepower. The intake, ignition and camshaft were all upgraded so this Cuda should be churning out a conservative 400 Horsepower. This is a mild build with just a little lope to the idle and an easy to live with burble to the idle. The 727 shifts well and is a great compliment to the 3.23 Sure Grip 8 3/4" rear end.
This was a well optioned Cuda with Power Steering and Power Front Disc Brakes. There is no wrestling this car, its an easy driver.
The tires & wheels are brand new 15x7 Magnum 500's with 235 60 Cooper Cobras in front & matching 255 60's out back.
